Discover Our Innovative TWO-STEP Backing System for Customized Rubber Flooring

With our cutting-edge backing system, you have the freedom to choose any decorative rubber flooring and laminate it to an SBR (recycled rubber) backing. Through precise water jet cutting, we create pristine square edges, ensuring a flawless appearance. This process allows you to achieve your desired flooring thickness while staying within your budget. For example, if you need an 8 mm thick floor, you can use a 4 mm layer of EPDM combined with a TWO-STEP backing of 4 mm recycled rubber. This not only offers a cost-effective alternative to an 8 mm homogeneous EPDM floor but also reduces adhesive and installation expenses. Note: The Marathon Series is composed of rubber in solid and near-solid colors. Due to the natural characteristics of the rubber, some tiles may vary in color. This includes but is not limited to shading from tile to tile; shading within individual tiles; a framing effect in which darker pigments will form around the border of the tile. Although these are not considered defects, to combat these natural occurrences, Summit International Flooring recommends dry laying the tiles before installation. If any tiles show more shading or framing than others, it is suggested that these tiles be placed under furniture or against walls where they are likely to be cut. Production runs can have slight dye lot differences and we will match samples as closely as possible.

Caution: Rubber flooring tiles may experience fading when exposed to direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to UV rays can lead to a loss of color vibrancy and potential changes in texture. Consider implementing appropriate measures, such as using window coverings, to minimize direct sunlight exposure and preserve the tiles' appearance.

Please note that the colors of products displayed on digital screens may not precisely reflect the actual shades. To ensure the most accurate representation of the product, we highly recommend ordering a sample.

Decorative EPDM rubber floors have a slight texture, so the proper way to clean them is with an extraction machine that incorporates rotating brushes. Between extractions, vacuuming will help, and most stains can be spot-cleaned with Soft Scrub and a sponge.
