GRANORTE Features

GRANORTE is the only cork supplier to add MICROBAN® to the floating floors. Floating cork flooring does not sit directly on the wood or concrete subfloor, and if moisture permeates that space, it can promote the growth of microbes (fungus). MICROBAN® is added to the bottom of the floating floors to prevent this dangerous problem. Glue-down floors have no need for the Microban®, but are antimicrobial in nature due to the fact that it is made out of cork. No matter what type of flooring you select for a project, you can trust that it will keep your space safe and healthy.

Hypoallergenic: Cork does not absorb dust and, consequently, does not cause allergies nor pose a risk to asthma sufferers. This makes it an ideal choice for commercial and residential properties.

Note: Rubber, plastic, and other “non-breathable” material can migrate into many types of flooring, including cork. Protective coasters are recommended under the feet of furniture or equipment when those feet have a rubber coating. To avoid discoloration, rugs or mats with rubber backings or non-breathable materials should not be left on the floor for long periods.
