Due to the flexible nature of rubber flooring, tiles should be installed in a brick pattern rather than a corner-to-corner layout. Unlike rigid materials such as VCT, rubber may expand or contract slightly during acclimation and throughout its service life. Minor dimensional variation between tiles may become more visible across large installations, particularly at seams. A brick pattern installation helps minimize the appearance of these variations. Claims related to corner-to-corner installations will not be accepted.
Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and UV radiation may result in fading or color change over time. To help preserve the appearance of the flooring, window coverings or other UV-reducing measures are recommended in areas with significant sun exposure.
Decorative EPDM rubber flooring features a textured surface that is best maintained using an extraction machine with rotating brushes. Routine vacuuming is recommended between deep cleanings, and most surface stains can be spot cleaned using Soft Scrub and a non-abrasive sponge.
